Appearance

†»Overall: Avalon's raven-hued hair used to be longer, as long as to her rear, before she cut it a little over shoulder length. Her eyes are green, and seem to be growing lighter and lighter the older she gets. Her skin is fair, not too light and not too dark - no wrinkles at all. Though she could be mistaken for being anorexic, Avalon just doesn't need to eat that much. If she were to be compared to an object, a pencil would be the thing with the exception of her not being exactly that slim. Having worked for the military and becoming a state alchemist, Avalon wears the usual black uniform, and rarely does she wear the hat that goes along with it. The white gloves and the black boots are included in the care package, but she keeps the gloves folded in her pocket most of the time. She has also managed to get away, somehow, without having to put her hair up in a bun so it doesn't touch her collar. Avalon has a black tattoo over her left shoulder blade of the state alchemist symbol with leaves surrounding it.

Personality

Avalon is calm and collected. Rarely does she blow up into a rage and whenever she does she is quick to calm down. She prefers to talk things out over taking sudden action and hardly ever curses while doing so. She has a pet hawk named Topaz who she has raised ever since it was a chick. The animal follows Avalon almost everywhere she goes, and is a best friend icon to the woman. Brigadier General Maes Hughes was the one who gave her permission to constantly have Topaz with her, but Avalon never received the opportunity to thank him. Avalon was given the title: The Earth Alchemist, after having the ability to use alchemy to change greenery into weapons and other useful items.

†»Likes: Spending time with Topaz, going on missions, trying to communicate in a positive way with the homunculi, and learning more about the military and it's supposed secrets.
†»Dislikes: Killing(ironic huh?), seeing other people get hurt and/or die, sometimes not being able to control her alchemy.
†»Strengths: Avalon is able to use alchemy to chance greenery into weapon or to control and use them to get advantage. For example: She could change a tree branch into a sword, or be able to control the branch in general.
†»Weaknesses Sometimes Avalon isn't able to control her alchemy, and instead of a tree branch turning into a sword, it will remain the same material but will look like the desired object instead. Other than that, her weaknesses are the same as a human's.

History

Avalon trained for a year in the hopes of becoming a state alchemist. Sometimes her hawk, Topaz, appears to know more than she does about what it means to be in the military. She didn't pass the state alchemist test with perfection, but scored right under greatness and they let her go ahead and pass. The Fuhrer showed Avalon mercy while taking the test. Had it not been interrupted by a homunculus she never would have passed. Ever since Avalon saw that large homunculus, she has been curious about them. Instead of killing one, she might even wish to try and befriend one. A most-likely horrible idea.

Roleplay Example

A loud piercing sound could be heard echoing all throughout the halls as Avalon shot out of bed. Not too many people knew about it, but in one of the top floors of the military headquarters there were bunks where they could sleep. A groan escaped from the female's lips as she rolled over a little in bed before getting up. She already knew just by how loud the alarm was that it was just a precautionary run. Had it been an actual alarm due to a homunculi attack than it would've been much, much louder.

Topaz, Avalon's brown hawk, squawked as she fumbled about on her perch. The noise was always deadly to her since her ears were so small, and that was one thing that ticked Avalon off. However, the two of them wanted to join the military. They didn't have to. It was something the two of them would just have to get used to.

Hello, and welcome to the site and thank you for applying! However, I have a few things I want to cover before I can accept the application.

1.) As Kiya stated the history is very short and explains very little about her past and the things leading to her present.

2.) There is no way a person studying for only a year would have the skills or ability to become a full-fledged state alchemist.

3.) Dozens of candidates a year rally for the prestigious position of state alchemist and only one will be accepted, simply because the exam was interrupted does not mean a less than perfectly-qualified candidate would be selected by the state, it is far more likely that the exam would have to be re-taken.

4.) Your character's alchemy really needs more explanation, as I cannot be certain exactly what to say about it for lack of information. I can, however, say that alchemy cannot change the basic make up of anything, as, say, an alchemist may turn grass into bread because of the similar characteristics of wheat but he may not turn bread into a sword as grass and steel have almost nothing in common on an elemental level. The same can be said for turning a tree-branch into a sword.

5.) Simple clarification, by 'state alchemist symbol' you mean the Amestris Dragon that adorns the flag, state alchemist watches, and the building of Central HQ?
