Name: Catrina Wood Alias: Cat Age: 17 Gender: Female Siblings: No
Rank: Citizen of Amestris
Appearance
Catrina is a tall and skinny girl who stands about five feet and seven inches tall. Her arms and legs are slender but muscular, making her very nimble and quick on her feet. Her fingers are long and skinny, topped with usually sharp nails. Her situation being as it is, she cannot be too particular about her looks. Dark brown hair that reaches down to the bottom of her back is usually found streaming loose behind her. Bangs form the frame for her face with tufts of hair the stick out irregularly from the sides of her head which partly earned her the nickname of 'Cat'. Eyes a mysterious purple blue color, they seem to glow in the light of the moon, but it may just be a illusion created in the mind of the viewer. No makeup adorns her face at any point in time, her features give the illusion that she is wearing eyeliner even when she isn't.
Simple is the way Catrina prefers to go. Simple, comfortable, and loose are the kinds of clothes that she wears. Nothing too tight that might prevent her from moving swiftly at any given moment. She will usually be found wearing dark colored pants or shorts, never a skirt. For a top, she wears neutral colored tanks, t-shirts, or blouses. Her shoes will either be white boots with high heels or black sneakers. After having being caught in a fight with her high heels on on more than one occasion, Catrina has taught herself how to fight and run with high heels. This was accomplished after many instances of her falling and getting many wounds in many different places on her arms, legs, and face. When she is out at night, Catrina will tend to wear dark colors to blend in and a black cloak with a hood to hide her face from any mischief makers she might find lurking in the alleyways. Pale or dark colors from the color wheel she will be found wearing, but never any bright colors. She prefers to blend in rather than stand out in a crowd.
Personality
Catrina has a sort of 'split' personality so to speak. During the day, she comes across as a very friendly yet reserved person. She will talk to those she meets on the street, but won't share much about herself. Instead of sharing her real past, Catrina will make up stories as to why she needs to buy some things at the different shops she goes to. When she wants to, she can be very talkative and personable and make some quick friends. Other times, she'll avoid everyone and keep to herself. Truly, she doesn't trust many people, so most people she meets don't now what she is really like. Maybe one day she will trust someone through and through and open up to them, but to all the door to the true Catrina stays shut.
At night, as she roams the streets, Catrina becomes the rumored 'Cat'. She is cunning, sneaky, and smart. Through the alleys she moves, silently and with purpose. All that try to confront her with violence will get mowed down. She shows no mercy to those who attack her and pays no heed to those who just watch her. In the light of the moon, she is just a shadow, nothing more.
History
Catrina was the daughter of a somewhat wealthy landlord living in the northern region of Amestris. Her mother had died of an incurable sickness when Catrina was only five years old. Her father was forced to take care of the young girl and raise her. Instead of being treated like his daughter, Catrina was treated like one of her father's servants and was forced to do servants work. The other servants took this rare opportunity to help the poor girl who wasn't meant to be living as they did. When they weren't doing work, the servants would teach Catrina the basics of life. She hadn't had much schooling before her father made her slave away as a servant, so the head servant of the household taught Catrina how to read, write, do mathematical equations, and other basic things the other children were learning. Besides learning school subjects that would help her to succeed later in life, some of the older men-servants took the liberty to teach the young Catrina how to fight. She learn how to use her hands, feet and her own swiftness to defeat an opponent holding a weapon, while she had only her own strength. All of this teaching was done in the darkness of night or in the secluded secret passageways and rooms throughout the mansion, for Catrina's father wouldn't approve if he found out.
At age fifteen, Catrina had finally had enough of living the servant's life. She secretly planned to escape, telling no one of her plans so her servant friends wouldn't get hurt because of her choice. Over the course of a few weeks, she started to gather any food that wouldn't spoil easily and stored it away for her journey. She took only a few sets of clothes, knowing that she couldn't carry much if she was to travel far and fast. Once her father realized that she had gone, he would send people after her, so she had to be fast with little to weigh her down. The night of her planned escape she gathered her things and sneaked into her father library where she knew he kept his money. Catrina slid the book that hid the safe out of the way and opened the safe. As quickly as she could, she gathered as much of the money as she could and stuffed it in her bag. Then she was off. Slipping as silently as a mouse, she avoided all the areas she knew her father had put traps that would sound an alarm. She slipped out the servants door into the cool night that awaited her outside. Free at last she sprinted for the tall gate that surrounded the estate and all of it's land, and slid through one of the many unevenly spaced bars.
Once free of the mansion's hold, she headed south to central in hope of finding a new life for herself there. She stayed in central until the present finding odd jobs to do to earn some money. All this time living in a cheap and filthy hotel which became her home of sorts. Catrina lived in fear of meeting one of her fathers friends while in central, so she constantly hid her face and walked in the shadows of the streets to avoid recognition of the other citizens of the city. Often times she would go out at night to sneak around the city and memorize the streets and alleyways for later reference. Because of these late night expeditions, she ran into more than a few infamous people. Among these criminals and random troublemakers she became known as Cat or the Cat because of the way she moved. Rumors about this catlike girl who lurked the streets at night circulated through the city pub system. They say that she is as cunning and swift as a snake going in for the kill, and no one would want to be caught facing her alone in a fight. Rumors about the mysterious Cat still are circulating throughout a few pubs around central two years later. Catrina herself has not found a solid job and does odd jobs for a few people around the city. She lives still in the grimy hotel which would have gone out of business if not for her. She had no plan for her life except to live and stay out of her father's grasp.

Roleplay Example
Catrina ran through the dark alleyways of Central, her feet making hardly any sound as the came down on the wet stones. The black cloak that hid her face with its hood billowed out behind her as she ran. She turned right, the yellow street lights glittered through the rain as she ran to the street. The light danced in front of her eyes as she stopped and looked around, trying to figure out where she was. To her left, she could see the ever bright lights of the Central Command building in the distance. Heavy steps pounded on the wet ground behind her. "There she is!" a man's voice screamed, he sounded as if he was pointing at her accusingly. She didn't turn around, wanting to hear what the man said first. "That's the one who has been beating up the other guys! The Cat!"
Catrina smirked to herself and turned to face them. Her cloak billowed out as she turned. "Well, well, what do we have here?" she said sinisterly. "A couple of thugs accusing a poor young lady of something that she wouldn't dream of doing?" Eyes glowing, she looked up and smiled sweetly at them. "You won't dare try to hurt a defenseless little girl, would you?" The leader growled, Catrina smiled. "Get her," the man said to one of his buddies. "Rarg!" the big man cried as he charged toward the Cat. He drew his fists back and thrust them foward in an attempt to punch Catrina. Catrina swiftly ducked and tripped the man, using his heaviness against him. Before he hit the ground, she grabbed his arm and flipped him with such force that he landed on his back with the breath knocked out of him.
Standing up, Catrina took a deep breath and flipped some of her hair out of her face. She smiled and turned to face the other two men. "You want some too boys? Come and get it," she taunted them. The other two men stood as still as statues with looks of horror on their faces. "What's the matter boys? A girl too tough for you?" She smiled at them again. "Shoo. I've got better things to do than kick you to pulp." Waving one hand, Catrina turned away from them. She jumped over their buddy and departed down the street. Sighing heavily, she headed back to her grimy old home in the hotel down the street. Why is it always the big slow ones who come after me? she thought. I'll have to find myself a more worthy opponent. All these thugs are push overs.
