Appearance

Emma has long silver hair that reaches to about her waist with sweeping bangs across her forehead. Her hair color is natural, she was born with it. She has blue eyes and stand about 5’4” much shorter compared to her brother’s 5’11”. She is slim and has some soft curves but they are barely noticeable under her clothes.

Emma usually wears whatever is clean (even if it is her brother’s clothes) under an apron, since she works in the family owned bakery. She often keeps her hair back when she is working but will let it down as soon as she is done before putting on a headband as an accessory. Her usual outfit (when it is clean) is a long white and blue sailor suit type outfit.

Personality

Emma is not shy but not outgoing. When working, she will be social and happily help costumers and help them deal with their complaints. When she is off duty, she is quiet and keeps to herself, no matter how hard her brother tries to prompt her into speaking.

Although she is quiet, Emma has big dreams. Not only does she with to start a family but she wants to own her own bakery that will help care for her parents in their growing age and to outshine her brother for once. She is afraid of the dark and will never go out alone when it is dark outside. However, she loves the sound of the rain and water in general.

History

Emma was born in London. Born two hours after her brother, she has lived in James’s shadow all of her life. She was expected to treat him as her superior in everything. She even felt bad in school. Her grades were average while her brother’s were spectacular. There was one thing she did better than him however and that was baking. But that was to be expected. She was a woman, a homemaker to be. It was funny, however, since her family owned a bakery.

Working in the bakery all her life, Emma had come to love sweets and home baked goods. She strives to open her own bakery and to prove top her old fashion parents that she could own and operate a business successfully.

With her other goal, Emma is far from successful. In 17 years, she has never been in a relationship and is quite scared to be swayed from her goal of owning her own business. However, she is quite sure that her parents are now setting an arranged marriage for her but says nothing about it to anyone. Because she is so busy trying to achieve her dream, she has little time for friends and family. Even her brother is starting to worry about her. He's began to worry even more about her when she started wearing his old clothes....

Roleplay Example

Emma sat behind the counter, looking through the window sourly. It was a cloudy, dismal day and the chance of rain was clear. Not that she minded. she loved the rain but rain meant less people would be coming to the bakery. Slow business was never good but it was to be expected. She laid her head against the counter, tapping her fingers on the counter to a made up rhythm.

"Boring..." she said in a sing-song voice. She didn't like when business was slow, she got bored and actually wished she had brought something else to do.

Darker and darker the sky became and Emma felt her stomach drop a little. It was getting late and James still wasn't here. He was suppose to pick her up and take her home so she could close shop. She should know better than to rely on him, he was probably off with one of his female friends who were most likely more than friends. At least it seemed that way to her.

Emma's head shot up when she heard the tinkle of the bell. She put on her warm smile and waited for the customer to place their order.
