Me
To be around her...was still somewhat difficult, she didn't seem to be getting any better...and somehow it felt like it was his fault, like he wasn't doing anything right, like...he was...no...he wasn't doing anything wrong, no matter how much he told himself that, he knew it wasn't true, but it was eating at him all the same. He placed the bottle of medicine on his bedside table and stared at Jayne with a somewhat happy expression, though it was a facade, a front for her, to make her happy perhaps, to prevent her from worry, if he couldn't control what happend to her, he could at least control himself to aid her, as best he could. Alphonse swallowed hard and sighed deeply, his hand squeezing hers tightly for a moment before he released his grip, standing from her bedside.
"I'll be back in a minute...ok?" he said quietly, he didn't really wait for an answer as he headed for the door, opening it slowly, feeling that urge to look back...to make sure she was still there again, but he stopped himself, trying to reassure himself she was still there, holding strong. As he left the room he closed the door slightly leaving but a small gap, and he ran his hands down his face rubbing it slightly as he tried his best...to prevent himself from crying....from breaking down, physically and mentally.
Jay
It tasted horrible. The stuff that was good for you always did. More violent shudders emerged from the poor girl’s frail body. The presence of Alphonse was strong. He was here, near to her, and it was then, that she felt contact. The squeeze to her hand made her open her eyes slowly, her mouth was slightly open, trying her best to gasp for air, her breathing heavy. A smile, although it be faint * moved across her lips.... but, it did not stay. "I'll be back in a minute...ok?" to those words, she frowned. She did not wish for him to leave her, but she knew, that Al wished to have time to him self, she could tell how hard it was for him, in a sense, it was probably horrible for him as it was for her to be stuck like this. As she watched him drifted out of the door, she couldn't take it.
The weakness that enthralled her body was horrid, but she did not want to lay here everyday of her young life, letting it waste away to an illness. As the door closed slightly, she moved. Although it was possibly the second most horrible pain in her life, she was determined. Her heart pounding faster than ever in her chest, her body remaining clammy, her throat seemingly closed, she wanted to prove the illness wrong, that she DID have strength... the very strength that Al had given her in hospital. Wincing in dramatic discomfort, she slid her legs from on top of the bed to over the edge.
Then... it happened.... she pushed as hard as she could to lift her torso, and with luck, she managed, it was though Al's strength was working. Without control, she began to cough once more, that horrible retching sound. But, she ignored it, as though it was nothing. 1....2....3... With all effort, she urged herself to a stand. Her head feeling dizzy, light headed, and that sickly feeling overtook her, but with every bone in her body, with all pure determination, she stepped forward toward the door, longing to see Al, longing... to be with him.... no matter what would befall her.
Ed
"ALPHONSE!" The voice boomed down the halls of the Elric’s flat. Where the hell was his money!? It was only a matter of time of searching that he had come to the conclusion that Al had something to do with it. With all anger and frustration, he stormed toward his brother’s room. "AL!" It wasn't long before he was standing before his brother, who had just left his room. "Where is it!?" his tone holding annoyance. "Where is my money Al?" he had calmed by his second question, but still, his expression and overall being was tense with frustration. But what caught his attention was that the door had opened without Al's touch. With a gasp, Ed stepped back, watching as something most unusual made his eyes widen. A girl, who appeared very pale, weak.... He said nothing... all he did... was stare... What was going on!?
Me
As he heard his name, Alphonse felt something like an electric shock move through him and he jolted, those grey eyes wide as he caught sight of his brother...that annoyance on his face....this wasn't going to fair well, he had expected it at some point....but why now? When he was feeling like this? Still, Edward didn't know...and he didn't want him to know, not yet. "I.....I...borrowed it* brother" he said, his voice somewhat shaky. As Ed withdrew Al turned around having noticed his brother's expression and when he saw Jayne standing there, he felt panic rush over him. "Jayne! What are doing? You shouldn't be out of bed!" he cried his voice somewhat squeaky as he caught her in his arms, holding her for a long moment before he picked her up, holding her close to him as he glanced to his brother briefly, his face now more serious as he retreated back into his room, holding her with strength, determination perhaps, to make sure she was safe. He lay her back on the bed, pulling the sheets over her before he sat beside her, lowering his head for a moment before he looked back at the door. "....sorry brother....it was....an emergency" he said quietly as his hand rested upon Jayne’s
Jay
Time seemed to rush past. Every sound, every image, was blurred, as though she could not see or hear, all just murmers. As she fell, the comfort of Al's catch made her feel safe. As she was lifted, her head became dizzy once more, and her eyes closed. Once more, she felt herself be lowered onto the softness of the bed. Al had returned her to bed.... But.... Al.... She could not fight back.... she * had no energy too fight back. After she was settle, the sheets covered her once more, she opened her eyes a little, only managing to see Al's blurry form. Then his hand touched hers again. How she desired for him to keep it that way.... Although her determination was strong, it seemed for once in her life... she had lost.... all to the illness that had befalled her...
Edward:
He hadn't moved. Not budged one inch as he watched his brother catch the girl. She didn't look well at all.... what was going on here!? Ed followed quietly into his brothers room, stepping in and staring at the scene. Then his brother spoke.... an emergency.... Ed closed his eyes and took a deep breath, thinking over it for a moment. "Just... .. Just don't let it happen again... ALRIGHT?" that last word holding anger. There was a moments silence, but it was interuptted by the horrible coughing that had come from the poor girl in the bed. Carefully, Ed approached, standing aside the bed. He looked to the girl then back at Al. ".... What happened Al? ..... Is she alright?" his tone now holding a hint of concern. Whatever this was all about, he wanted to know. Afterall, Al should never not include him in something, the welfare of someone else. "You know that I'd be okay to help..... You... You should've just told me Al....
Me
It was like a bad dream, the whole thing, encompassing him, swallowing him whole, body and soul, lost to the void....almost like it had been all those years ago perhaps, except then...it had really happened, he had lost his body, but kept his soul.....but some part of him wished he was still as armour, still unable to feel...but even then he had kept his emotions....and would it have been crueller that way? To be unable to express how he felt? Perhaps...but he wasn't exactly lettting the pain out now...so what difference did it make? "....ok brother" he said flatly, the hint of anger noted...for the most part. What could he do? There wasn't really anything else, he knew that, but he wanted to help her....he didn't want to be useless.....even though he felt as though he was, felt as though everything he did was for nothing. "...I...I didn't want to tell you brother.....I....I had to deal with this on my own....it's my problem" he said quietly. Those words sounded so familiar....words that Edward had said to him in those four years...words he never thought he would hear himself say.
Jay
Her head throbbed. To her, it seemed everything was happening all at once, everything seemed too fast, rushing past her very eyes. That urge arouse once more, and she began to cough, breaking the silence. Shortly, she resumed herself, only to open her eyes once more, looking to Al, her face weak, bearing no signs of life, but she managed... she managed to form a small smile. Still feeling the touch of his hand, she squeezed back with all energy that she had, all strength that Al had given her. "...... T..han..k... Y..ou..... for helping... me...." Her last words before she resumed to facing the ceiling, eyes closed slowly, and the energy from her hand, was lost. Her hand going limp, releasing it's grip from the one she loved. Quietly, and surely, she began to drift, sleep. The best form of rest that she could get right now.... Where no pain receded... and the dreams came true....
Me
He watched her silently, always watching, gaze unwavering before she smiled and his grip tightened slightly....until she spoke. He stopped breathing...or he thought he did, his lungs seeming to stop everything from entering, and for a moment he thought he might faint, but it kicked in again, his breath returning and as her grip loosened he felt it all rush back, all the feelings the emotion...the pain he held within him growing now as he stared at her, his body shaking uncontrollably as he removed his hand from hers, tears welling in those grey eyes, his hands balling into fists, clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white before he took a deep breath, spluttering it back out as the tears fell finally. Unable to take it anymore...unable to take the pain he ran out of the room....he wanted to escape it, escape his feelings, make them go away.....he wanted to be there for her...but how could he? He wasn't strong enough......he wasn't like his brother.
Edward
He could do nothing, but watch. Al...... No longer anger, but empathy, the emotion so strong.... feeling guilt... Ed frowned, watching his brother. How much he cared for her.... he .. he truly did admire this girl didn't he? ... Tears.... His brother... was crying. He had no idea what to do. "... Al..." but before he could even say anything else, his brother had stormed past him. "AL! WAIT!" As Al fled, Ed turned to face the girl, who now seemed at peace. Well, at least she was getting rest... but still.... It was horrible to see someone unwell. Ed sighed, only to quietly leave the room, closing the door gently behind him. He waited a moment.. gathering his thoughts, but soon quickly rushed after his brother, as soon as he caught up, he grinned. ".. Al... What's the matter?"
Me
Alphonse was scared, worried, everything he had been holding in now exploded from him, and as he entered the living room he slammed himself into the wall, still crying, his fists slamming againt the wall in repeated bursts of anger, confusion...all he could do to stop himself from falling, falling and never getting up again. Why? Why did it have to be her? Why? Hadn't he suffered enough through*his life, to have another person taken from him? To incur more loss? What had he done to deserve it? In all honesty what? He had never done anything to deserve this...and neither had Jayne, she was slipping...and there was nothing he could do, he didn't want to watch....he didn't want to see someone else fall through his fingers. As he heard his brothers voice he rested his head on the wall, his hands now supporting him tears dripping onto the floor. "....I can't watch it brother....I can't watch her slip away.....it's like seeing mom again....." he said between sobs, his face contorting into anger as he slammed his hand into the wall again.

Second Mini RP
Me
It wasn't working....none of what he had done, none of what the doctors had done....it was hopeless...and he knew it, but he kept trying, kept willing it to be right, he wanted everything right again...it was what he wished for more than anything. Alphonse retrieved the bottle of black liquid from the bedside table, his expression somewhat solemn as he poured it onto a spoon before those grey eyes looked to Jayne, and he forced a smile onto his face. "....Here..." he said quietly as he raised it to her mouth for her to swallow it.
Jayne
There was a light in the darkness that she saw, although, it was a tiny ember, a flame which was soon going to die, to burn out into nothing. She hadn't known how long she had been like this, and she didn't want to know.... The pain was intense, and it seemed to be getting stronger. Her breathing increased rapidly, sweat formed upon her head. A voice.... it was blurred.... but it was there....Yet. She was incapable of responding, there was just no strength left. Even as much of the strength that Al had given her, it seemed her body was breaking down even further. Amazingly, with the minor, tiny strength she had, she managed to take the medicine, the strange liquid... with all efforts, she swallowed it, causing it to send a shiver down her spine.... Once more, she resumed her state with violent coughs and shudders, and it was then that her heartbeat began to decrease, as though there was simply no energy left.... was this truly it? The end? ..... No.... It couldn't be....
Me
He watched her silently...she really had no strength...he had tried so hard to give her his, with all the power he had he had tried desperatly to be her strength, to be her reason....but it was not enough, no matter how strong he was...he could not prevent this. As she started to cough he shuddered, panic emcompassing him body and soul and his lip quivered slightly before he bit down upon it.* "....you'll be ok....I promise...I won't let anything happen to you..." he said, trying to reassure what was left of her...if anything at all, he would try until he had nothing left to give...he wouldn't let her slip away...never.
Jayne
For once, she was able to hear his words. A promise, and as much as she desired for it to be true, sadly, it seemed to be fading away with every breath she took. Slowly, she manged to open her eyes faintly, their vision of Al was true to her to what seemed to be an eternity. Carefully, she dragged her weak hand over her chest in a gesture. To what she saw, was a vision she was to never forget in her heart. Brightness of a perfect world. Al, sitting in front of a window, and the clear blue sky was behind him, clouds, so soft, birds, fluttering by. The vision of the busy streets was elsewhere, it was all just ... perfect... A smile drew across her lips weakily. "... I... will always.... love you....." her voice trailed, and at that moment, her breaths decreased, closing her eyes once more as she faced the ceiling until there was no more breaths, and the world stood still, for the departure of a soul so caring, had left the earth.... with the love of her life.... behind....
Me
As she looked to him, that smile widened somewhat, she had opened those eyes...and he felt his heart swim, no matter how ill she was...she could still make him feel, feel with all his soul, the love that resonated within her...and within himself. As she smiled his own dropped, a sudden feeling of dread washing over him...it was weak..much like all the others, but something was different and it chilled him. I... will always.... love you..His eyes widened to those words and he watched, waited, knew what was coming...but at the same time he had not expected it. There was nothing...no breath, no sound....the silence of the room defeaning, eerie...and empty. "...J....Jayne?" he said quietly, shaking a little as he leaned forward slightly, placing the bottle of liquid on the side sharply. "Jayne! JAYNE!". Those words echoed in his head, her name...her beautiful name....he stared for a long moment at that still body, the realisation hitting him, he grabbed her body in his arms, resting her head upon his arm as he shook her slightly, trying to get a response, trying to get something back....nothing...the agonising silence....the knowing that she was gone. "No,...you can't die you can't! I said I wouldn't let you! I promised! Please!" he cried holding her close as tears fell down his cheeks. "I...love you.....please......". Anger bubbled as well as the sorrow, and he found himself thinking over things, ways in which...he could save her....he wasn't thinking straight, it wasn't feasible...but he wanted it, wanted more than anything to have her back, that soul....that smile...and it only served to fuel his thoughts more.
Jayne
He had seen it.... heard it..... Clutching his coffee, he listened to the last words of which, bought a lump to his throat... and as the silence drew in, he knew... there was a loss. Ed sighed, sniffling from the dramatic scene before his very eyes. Quietly, he emerged through the door, lowering the cup in his hands, his golden eyes glancing to the floor before back to his brother. "... I...I'm sorry Al....." after those words.... a single tear streamed down his face. He had not expected it.... he believed the girl to have a chance..... she had strength, dramatic strength on which, he believed she could use... but it seemed..... that the world can bring dramatic fate... of which any human would never understand.... to the thought of the loss of mother, the tears were desperate... no. He could not cry before his brother... he had to be strong. For the poor girl.....for Al..... Carefully, he approached the bedside, seeing Al clutch onto dear life onto her now limp and lost body. "... Sorry..." Calmly, he moved aside Al before placing a hand on his shoulder in comfort. "... You did whatever you could.... and she was grateful for having such a great friend in her life..." He *tried so hard... that lump seeming to form, and all he did was swallow it back down, preventing all emotion, all tears from streaming. He was going to be strong for his brother.... but the never ending memory of mother was repeated.... and for once in his life.... he knew how powerful fate really was... and how hard... it could hit you.
Me
Numb......no pain or emotion...nothingness....empty, too long had he tried to hide his pain, too long had he tried to be strong, and now that he truly wished he could feel something other than this increasing heaviness that seemed to be weighing down upon him...he could do nothing. It was beautiful...the funeral, there had been few people...but he didn't care about that, and Jayne...she would have been happy if just he had turned up perhaps...but it was still sad in a way, that a soul so bright had not touched all the hearts of people, had not reached out to the infinite and made everyone feel her presence....he still felt it, even now...as he stared at that grave....he could feel her. "It......it's just like......what happened to mom....." he said quietly, his voice cold....distant.
Jayne
Everyone was so formal, so appreciative of this poor girl. Edward stood aside his brother, his eyes glancing to him, seeing the sadness.. the loss that he held inside... emptiness. His golden eyes trailed to the grave, then to the blossom tree above, watching few petals settle gently... just like Jayne herself... gentle... Ed swallowed hard once more before hearing his brother's voice. Quietly, he turned and face him, listening. Ed placed a hand on his shoulder. "... you did everything you could...." it was hard.... even for him. Although his relation with Jayne was extreme like it was for Al, he still held care for her. She was always so nice... polite... she had even bought Ed home gifts from time to time.... just like Mother had... and was.... It was like... her reflection. The light began to dim, and it as then that he realized a sunset was forming. He stood there, quietly, hair blowing defiantly by the faint breeze. "Thank you...." his voice quiet, low in a whisper as he waited.... for a sign... anything... After a moment, he closed his eyes before reopening them again, only to carefully place a single rose on top of the grave in respect. "Thank you for being our friend." ........... "We will miss you."
Me
Even his brothers hand was little comfort...whilst he showed no emotion outside...it was true that he was feeling...too much...so many things all at once, and as he stood there, all he could do was listen to those voices...the ones that told him...he hadn't done enough, he hadn't been strong enough...he hadn't....Alphonse lowered his head slightly and swallowed hard, his fringe moving in front of*his eyes. She was more than a friend.....yes.....more than a friend, he knew that....but he wished he had told her, told her before she had slipped away just how much she had meant to him...but he had never managed to express it, never found the voice to speak to her....and it saddened him....to the point that he shook slightly as his brother placed the rose upon her grave. ".....I'm...sorry....*he whispered quietly to the wind as he raised his eyes to look upon the grave once more, before he knelt down, his index finger, lovingly tracing the engraved words...her name.

Jayne and Alphonse – Accident
Me:
As long as she could be besides him, she was happy. No matter the weather. Her hand was clasped around the handle of her umbrella, holding it protectively to cover and shelter not only her, but Alphonse, her body somewhat close to his in comfort as they walked side by side. Her sweet smile formed as from the corner of her sapphire eyes, she caught that glimpse of him, which also caused her to flush a little. To be with him was all she ever wanted, the feeling of kindness, and the warmth he gave off soothed her. Currently, she could no longer feel the bitterness of the damp drops that blew from the wind against her face, rather, her entire body was encased in warmth that was resonating from the boy besides her, the true gentleman that he was. A small giggle escaped her as she turned to face him, yet, her smile did not remain, and in sudden shock her body was being pulled by the force of a gust of wind unexpectidly. A small scream left her as her hand slipped from the grip of her umbrella, sending it flying off into the road. Her sapphire eyes darted to see its position, but all she could do was stare, watch it float a little way up the road..... She couldn't just leave it....
Kiki:
Why was he so nervous? Even now, after leaving that cafe his heart seemed to be trying to break free of his chest, it was...difficult....mostly because he wasn't really sure...sure about his feelings. She made him nervous, she made him shaky....it wasn't because he didn't like her...he knew that much, but still...it was a feeling he didn't much relish. He knew it showed on his face as he idley chewed on his bottom lip, huddling beneath the umbrella with her....it somehow felt good...to be this close to her, but his mind reeled and he found himself keeping just enough distance from her to not fall into a panic. What the hell was wrong with him? She was just a girl...a friend....that was all.....and yet the very sight of her sent tingles across the back of his neck, and as she giggled turning towards him, he felt his heart seem to skip a beat, and he flushed bright red.....why? Alphonse did not get much of a chance to mull it over before the wind hit them, and his hand shot up shielding his eyes before Jayne screamed, and her umbrella was whisked from her hand. "I'll get it!" he shouted running off after it. Luckily the wind didn't drag it far, and the young boy ran out into the road after it, grabbing it swiftly by the handle before it could go any further. With a triumphant shout he looked back to her, waving it above his head. "I got it!!" he cried excitedly, laughing.
Me:
It took a few moments for it to fuse into her brain what Al had just done. Sharply, her sapphire eyes followed him to the road, her mouth opened lightly in awe. As he waved it above his head in a triumph victory, she couldn't help but giggle to his enthusiasm, gently raising a hand to cover her mouth as she did so, blushing more if it were. But as long as she desired such joy, such happiness of the moment to continue, it did not. Once more, her ever so sweet smile faded, and her hand lowered as her eyes widened to the bright glint that obstructed her for a moments. A car. Faster than ever, her heart began to beat within her chest, and her throat appeared clogged, unable to speak, unable to call out. Eventually, she managed to shriek out words, even if they were mumbled. "AL!" her attempt to warn the boy, but she knew, somehow, his reaction would not be seemingly fast enough. Immediately, with courage and determination deep within her mind and her heart, she rushed forward, ignoring the dampness of the rain that drenched her body, only caring for one thing, and one thing only; Alphonse. Quickly, without hesitation, she barged ahead, her hands out before her until she planted them on Al, shoving him aside as fast as she could, in hoping....praying.... that he was to safety..... Before she could even turn to focus on the incident, loud screeches emerged upon the wet tarmac...... a thud...... screams..... Her mind went entirely blank, simply allowing gravity to send her now limp frame tumbling up ahead the road. Eventually, it came to a halt, leaving the girl immobilized on her back within the street, her eyes closed, her body shaking violently, heart beating faster than it ever had been before..... What had she done... ? ..... She... she had shoved Al aside.... Saved him.... Her head pounded, distracting her trace of thought. A small stream of red drizzled within the puddles from wounds upon her head and her arms. Her leg, obviously distorted... from it's most... unusual angle, deeming the situation dire. All she could do, was lay there, shaking, hearing screams, voices surround her..... But one thought dwelled within her mind... Was.. Was Al okay.... ? She hoped.... Oh she hoped....
Kiki:
A deer in the headlights....that was what it could be described as, paralysed, unable to move, eyes wide with horror...why...why couldn't he move? Even with Jayne's voice shouting at him nothing happened, the umbrella dropped from his grip, and somehow he closed his eyes. He felt something....felt the impact, felt himself hit the floor, his arm crackling beneath him with a crunch, sharp pain... then nothing. For a moment he lay there, feeling the rain on his face.....there were screams, shouts......but....but if he was the one who had been hit.....why wasn't there more pain. Slowly his eyes opened a minor dizziness settled over him as he tried to focus on the scene. There, laying amongst what seemed to be a river of blood (thanks to the rain) .....suddenly it all made sense the whole situation.....she....Jayne....had saved him, pushed him out of the way. Eyes widened in shock horror and he forced himself up, his left arm hanging limply at his side as he ran over on legs of jelly collapsing at her side. "JAYNE!! ....oh god,.....n-no......" his voice was panicked, terrified, his body shaking as he stared at her...there was so much......He turned his head away a moment holding back a sob before he looked back at her. "s-say something...please"
Me:
The pain.... So intense.... wrapping her entire body until eventually, there was so much of it, that it caused her to feel numb, numb with pain. Her body violently shaking beneath not only the bitter of the cold rain drops, but the sudden shock of the situation. Her ears picked up noise, even if it was blurred; and one sound broke through them all, sounding fuzzy, but audible. Alphonse's cries broke deeply into her heart, shredding it. Never before had she heard him so distressed, and never again did she want to hear him like this, never. Strength was what she needed, and just by his presence, the feel of him collapsing besides her gave her just that. Amazingly, a very weak frail smile formed as her sapphire eyes opened slowly, half-closed, she managed to pick up his figure. Her mouth opened slowly also, her throat preventing any words at first as her body continued to shudder, her limbs aching, her head pounding as blood treacle from the open wound. ".......... a....l..... " her only managed word; she was glad that he was alive, even if it had meant risking her own, that was all she wanted, her feelings... so powerful for him, more than anyone she'd ever met before.. She... She loved him.... And she'd do anything for him. "..... I.... did it..... for yo-...." her eyes wearily closing until she drifted slowly, drifting into nothingness, letting the pain return to her sharply for a few seconds before she was gone. Gone into a state of unconsciousness... just glad that he was okay... glad... he was still alive with her.... That was all she ever wanted. To be with him.
Kiki:
She was ok...she was alive.....but.....but it wasn't good....nothing was good. "I.........." what could he say? What could he do? 'Call an ambulance' 'Is she ok' 'what happened'. it was white noise, his mind fuzzy, the words dissipating into nothingness as he knelt there staring at her. Suddenly among the voices, among the sounds there was one, crystal clear even in its quiet state. 'I did it for you'. Alphonse's eyes opened in shock horror and he stared at her....no....why? ....Why would she do that? Why? She should have just let him get hit! She should have....oh god..... As she slipped into unconciousness Alphonse lowered his head tears falling down his face, mingling with the rain. "Please no....no.......". The last thing he said as he collapsed on in the road next to her the sound of sirens echoing in his ears.
~*~
It was....bright.....and uncomfortable....was something.....he was....Slowly grey eyes foccussed on the room, trying to figure out what was around him.....the beeping sounds, the movement of feet on the floor. Sitting up slightly the young boy winced, looking down at his arm which was bandaged tightly, a cast plainly visible. "H-hospital....." he said quietly trying to make himself believe it.. where was she.....where was Jayne? Alphonse threw back the sheets in some sort of confused rage and practically jumped from the bed stumbling, much to the confused cry of nurses in the room, who simply shouted that he should return to bed, but he didn't want to...he wanted to see her, to find her.
Me:
Poor boy.... Poor girl too.... Minus the beeping of the machines, several nurses attended to the boy, ensuring all was stable, and as well, he was considerately lucky. With a grin, a young brown haired and eyed woman approached the bedside, yet, what she didn't expect was what happened next. In sudden shock, she stepped back with a slight scream, alongside with a few others who had entered the room to monitor the boy, watching in horror as he had rushed from his bed, only to stumble. "Please! Wait!" hers being the only voice to call to the scrambling boy. Gently, and reassuringly, she approached by his side fast. "Please... Sir...." Immediately, she knew the determination of the boy, and why. With a small sigh, she held her clipboard close to her. "Be calm... It's okay...." her voice soft. In all honesty, she knew he was not to deny easily, might as well approve, but of course, it was to be a quick visit, he needed rest too. "I will take you." her last words as she stepped outside the door, leading the boy. She knew he was capable to follow, besides, if he needed assistance... well.. they were in a hospital.....
~*~
Small peaceful breaths. Beeping from the machines. All that was heard within the staleness of the room that the poor young girl lay. Her being hooked up from few wires to monitor her, but that was not which deciphered her condition.... Her body being wrapped in more bandages than anything, her head and hair covered, causing it to ruffle her once fine glossed hair, her arms also covered, and then, it led to the thick cast of which her leg lay in, being hoisted from the bed gently for support..... Wha.... ? Where... ? Ever so slowly, she awoke into reality.... her sapphire eyes opening slowly but being caught off by white blinding light. Wincing, she allowed her eyes to grow accustomed before they revealed a room... of a hospital.... Instantly, her heart began pounding faster within her chest, the bleeping increasing on the monitor.... Al... ALPHONSE!? .... As much as she wanted to shove the covers aside and run, she just could not... she couldn't move.... merely, her half closed eyes diverted to the door, hearing faint footsteps as well as hearing her own breathing from within the supplied oxygen mask.... Who.... Alphonse... ? She hoped...
Kiki:
Alphonse's mind was askew, like some frightened animal cornered by a predator, he panicked, his heart beating rapidly in his chest. 'Please wait!' The young boys wide grey eyes foccussed on the young nurse and he stood defensively for a moment, the type to fight if he had to...but, a few moments later he calmed his right arm lowering as he watched her. "Jayne..." he said quietly the only word he managed to speak. It seemed that he was still in some minor shock, his speech somewhat affected, but it would pass soon enough. Hearing her next words Alphonse nodded his head in agreement, yes, yes he wanted to see her, wanted to make sure she was safe, that this wasn't some trick...all that mattered was her. "C-...can......stay?" he managed to say, stumbling over his words...it was difficult to want to communicate and not be able to, and it was frustrating too.
Me:
Her walking stopped as she heard his somewhat stummered words, understanding the shock he was in still. Softly, she approached his side once more before nodding in agreement. "Yes, you can stay...." as well, she understood how hard it was to be for him... so why not just give the poor boy a break... just.. to let him see her... With another nod, she was on her way once more, leading him peacefully down few corridors before emerging to the rooms which held more of the 'critical' patients within their keep. Quietly, she approached the young girls room, softly placing a hand on the handle, turning and opening it. To what she heard, and saw, she was quite amazed; the girl was awake, and her heart rate was quite high, which meant she was conscious and obviously... quite shocked herself. Her soft brown eyes diverted to the young boy, standing back, offering him to enter before she spoke quietly, in attempts not to disturb the girl too much. ".... I will be outside if you need me." Another nod was given as she moved herself outside to stand, watching the boy calmly.... How hard it must be... to find a friend in such a condition... but still.... at least the poor soul was lucky.
~*~
The sound of the door creaking, turning her head. Al... Alphonse? .... To whom she saw, saddened her, of which, it was not Alphonse, instead, it was a nurse, but then again.... With all vision she could through blurred eyes, she managed to pick up gestured signals for someone to enter... Could it be him..!? Please be him.... Determination overtook the girl, trying so desperately to find out if it truly was him, hoping he was alright. Not holding back for anything, she forced herself, her body shaking as she urged herself up with all force she could, the blipping of the heart monitor increasing, her mask become condensed from her breaths as they too increased.. Her eyes weary, dazed as they tried to pick up his figure, to see those gentle eyes once more was all she desired... to know that..he was okay....
Kiki:
Alphonse's face lit up as she answered him and he nodded his head sharply in thanks, he was grateful for this much at least, but that moment of happiness was cut short when he was led to her room. Suddenlythere was a sense of dread....he was scared, he admitted it.....but....he didn't want to not see her now, not after this...still.... 'I'll be outside if you need me' Alphonse nodded his head in reply stepping inside the room with an un-easy feeling in his stomach. She was awake...that much he could see, and she seemed to be trying so hard...to see him. Seemingly possessed the young boy practically ran over to her bedside, falling on his knees beside her, swallowing hard. "S-,...s-sorry"....yes he was sorry, sorry that his stupidity had caused her downfall, that his mistake had caused something so terrible to befall her.....if he hadn't run out in the road...hadn't stood there in triumphant excitment...she would have been alright
Me:
... It... it was him.... Her eyes... seeming to fill with tears... that of joy... as well as sadness to seeing him... yet.. something was wrong... his arm.... what.... was he okay!? .... She watched in horror as he rushed to her bedside, allowing herself to rest once more softly against the cushion. Her mask condensing still from her breaths which could easily be heard from inside it. Softly, her eyes trailed to him, worry filling her heart. Why... Why did he need to be sorry? .... She tried to speak, tried to tell him, that everything was okay... but her mask prevented her, the sounds coming out as mumbled echos. The strength she felt once more from his presence resumed to her, and ever so carefully, she lifted a bandaged hand to reach for him, it shaking dramatically as she hoisted it within the air, slowly touching his cheek to trace it carefully, although, she was unable to feel the softness. A smile, that smile of hers, even if it was weak, it was forced through her broken body, to tell him that everything was fine. A nod, a small one, but it was noticable..... "..... It....s... okay..." it was mumbled, murred within the casing of her mask.... stupid thing... all she wanted was to talk to him.... to tell him that there was nothing to worry about.... nothing.
Kiki:
Hot tears slipped down his cheeks as she touched him, her hand slowly tracing his cheek, his hands instantly moved to cup her hand in his and he held it to his face, those tears worsening. 'it's ok' He stared at her, shaking visibly...no it wasn't ok....it was his fault she was hurt, his stupid fault.....and he wanted so badly to go back, to go back and change what had happened to have her be safe. "m-my......f-fault..." he said closing his eyes as his hold on her hand tightened somewhat, though gentle as it was. Things had started out so good, and now there was this....he didn't want to be here, he didn't want her to be here...the hospital was not where they needed to be....no.....he didn't like it here.
Jayne and Alphonse – Love Me:
Elegance. Grace. Kindness. Beauty. All of which resonated from the most georgous young girl, a sweet smile planted upon her lips, her sapphire eyes merely studying, checking over her appearance to ensure its perfect; she.. she did look okay.... right? Her heart beating faster than ever within her chest. She sure did hope Al liked it, and as well, her friends too. She had been invited to a party, one which held no purpose, rather, it was just a night out; but through it all, she felt this tight pang.... a pang of sorrow.... a pang... of guilt. Alphonse.... To the thought of him, her smile faded, forming a frown. She did wish he could come, yet her friend had sadly denied, for a reason she could not understand. A sigh escaped her as she finished fixing her short hair, allowing it to flow so gracefully in furls resting on her shoulders before she glanced back to the mirror, her smile forming once more. Ok... It's time. She swallowed, calming herself before she turned heading toward the stairs emerging out in the open, her heels somewhat clanking on the carpet as she carefully stepped down, her black silken dress curving along with her perfect figure, her hand so softly trailing the banister until her eyes rested upon Alphonse, her smile never fading as she reached the bottom. A blush formed upon her smooth cheeks. "...So.... What.. what do you think?"
Kiki:
Why did he have to wait here? Couldn't he have gone in the living room or something? Sometimes it was obvious that Alphonse was still young, even though in reality he was nineteen....it was confusing at times....perhaps a little too confusing. He was dealing with a lot....his brother for one, and hormones for another. Being with Jayne.....it....it made him happy, that much he knew, she was kind considerate, beautiful.....he couldn't have asked for more, even their interests were the same, and that wasn't something you found all too often. Whilst being with her did indeed make him happy, it was also confusing....there was a constant battle going on in his head......some things he'd rather not think about, and other things he wished he had the courage to do, so many times, he'd wanted to kiss her.......but he'd never found the nerve, oh yes, he had kissed her on the cheek....but to actually kiss her, to feel the softness of her lips pressed against his in a never ending sensation of glory....that was something he wanted more than anything. As he heard movement on the stairs the young boy turned his head, eyes trailing up to catch sight of her, and his jaw dropped ever so slightly, a few of his senses becoming somewhat overwhelmed. "....It......it's" he swallowed hard telling himself to calm down mentally. "It's....you look.....nice". Nice? Was that the only word he could use to describe her? She looked BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING, BREATHTAKING and all he had managed was nice?
Me:
She watched him, giggling somewhat from his expression he gave off, and to his words, she smiled more before walking over him to him giving him a gentle kiss on the forehead. "Arw why thank you Al!" Her cheeks completely flushed before she moved gracefully to pick up her bag from the floor near the door. "Well... I guess I'm off then!" Her tone revealing slight excitement, but at the same time, guilt... Guilt of which she was leaving him behind. She... she wanted him to come... wanted to be besides him... to feel his warmth, the comfort of his touch. Through all those thoughts, her smile did not fade, trying to hold at least some contentment and strength to show Al. With a nod, she allowed the bag to strap over her shoulder before she gently placed a hand on the door handle, yet, before she turned it to open it, she stopped, her eyes turning to face Al. "... You.. You going to be okay? ..... I mean.... On your own? ... Well, I guess not entirely on your own, you have Max!" Another giggle escaped her as she turned the handle, now opening the door, but to what she saw, made her eyes widen, a gasp escaping her lips as she stepped back to the thundering hail storm that shredded and unsettled the streets outside.... Great... Just great.
Kiki:
Even if he had found his compliment somewhat lacking, it seemed that she did not think so, and as she kissed him on the forehead the young boy felt a euphoria wash over him and he blushed slightly, a smile on his lips as he noticed the same flush on her cheeks. She did like him didn't she......that was all too obvious....was he as obvious? Somehow he hoped he wasn't, he didn't want to be obvious didn't want to be the same as every other young boy his age, their intentions all too clear....some of them bad intentions. Whilst there were indeed thoughts such as this in Alphonse's mind [he was a young teen after all] it was not something that fuelled him....no....it was the feeling in his heart that drove him, that the kick from his hormones.......when he looked at her...he always felt as though somehow....he were walking on air....like the world around him had vanished...leaving just the two of them in blissfull harmony. As she spoke again his heart sank, suddenly remembering in his euphoria that she was leaving....and the mood died, leaving him to realise with an unhappy sigh, that the world did not contain only them. "Y-yeah......" he said in reply, lowering his eyes momentarily before trying to force that smile back onto his face....he succeeded but frankly, it was all too obviously fake. "I'll be fine......you should....you should go have some fun...". Even though the dog was.....well.....even if he liked animals, he didn't particuarly want the dog for company...no offense to him....he wanted her......wanted the courage to hold her, wanted to courage to kiss her.....tell her what she meant to him, but it seemed the more he became frustrated with himself the harder it was to talk.......As she opened the door Alphonse's eyes widened somewhat to the storm outside. "OH........" he said, trailing off.....somehow....there was elation in his tone and he cursed himself for it.
Me:
For a long moment, she stared, watching the unusually large pieces of ice clash to the floor, the affects of the hammering weather causing few buildings ahead to almost vanish in an ascending mist. Slowly, to the faint tone of Al's voice, her sapphire eyes lowered, showing a few minutes of sadness, but, that sadness did not last, and of which, a happy encompassing feeling soon proceeded toward her body. A smile formed upon her lips, her mind rushing with emotion, that of the dedication that her heart truly felt toward him. No... she could not just leave him here... not alone. Immediately, the thought to be with him took over, swallowing her whole. Slowly, ignoring the clashing of the hail outside, she turned, sapphire eyes meeting his own gray as she lifted her right hand to hold onto her left arm, blushing slightly. The softness of his skin, the warmth that resonated from his gentle heart.... from his touch. She longed for more, to be close, to never let him go, and here she was, almost running away from those chances to reveal to him... how she truly felt. Quickly, she erased all thoughts of ever leaving, closing the door gently before she stepped over to the boy, her eyes never leaving his for a moment. "I'm going to stay home.... With you." She nodded to him in confirmation, a demanding one of that.
Kiki:
He watched the weather, still feeling that slight elation, but at the same time there was guilt....guilt for somehow wishing something like this would occur....it wasn't as though he could manipulate the weather, even if he did still have the ability to use alchemy......but he felt guilty all the same. As she closed the door he let out a long drawn out sigh......she didn't seem all that happy and he could understand that, she had been looking forward to it, to spending time with her friends........something he wished he could do. It wasn't that he didn't have any.....if they called be called friends, honestly....sometimes....he just wished he could go home. As she spoke Al's jaw dropped slightly and he shook his head gently. "No....you should go.....it will probably stop......." he trailed off, grey eyes scanning over her body, moving from looking to her feet, carefully scanning the contours of her curves, the paleness of her neck.....the brightness of her eyes. Everything inside him went taught, a needful feeling stirring in the pit of his stomach, a feeling he'd had more than once, and swallowed back down in a moment of shame. This time......he let that feeling grow feeling his heart thud against his chest as his pulse quickened, biting down on his lower lip the younger Elric moved forward slightly, standing as close to her as he could before leaned down slightly, his hands cupping the sides of her face gently as he closed his eyes, kissing her softly on the lips....this.......this was the moment........he'd wanted for so long.........
Me:
As much as she even tried, she didn't listen to his words, demanding from herself that she should remain, stay with him, be by him..... never desiring to let go. The young girl stood there, watching intently as she couldn't help but feel like being watched, that of admiration. Her cheeks seemingly flushing more and more, until of which, she watched, eyes never unwavering as the young boy approached close, both of their bodies touching, resonating warmth to one another. Softly, gently, she allowed him to do so, her eyes now halved dazed in her own state of admiration to him as the touch of his ever so soft hands cupped the sides of her face. That feeling, that emotion she felt so many times before returning, building into something more, something.... powerful. Her heart began to beat fast, faster than ever before whenever she looked to the boy, admired him, thought of him, for this time, was different... The entire world stood still as both their lips contacted each other, sending a quick chill through her body until she herself relaxed, feeling a sensation unlike any other. Her eyes were closed by this time, her arms moving gently over his shoulders, a hand being placed calmly on the back of his soft fine hair for comfort and even, support.... It was magical, a feeling that was deemed not even true within her mind and heart, yet, here she was, sharing the emotion of which both girl and boy shared with one another, of which both desired to let it out, but could not. Eventually, she repelled, her eyes returning to their half dazed state as she admired his gray pools, seemingly lost within their charming array. "..... I... love you." sweet, soft... her voice echoed in the silence of the still room. Still, her cheeks remained flushed as she moved her arms to wrap him in an embrace of a hug, ensuring to never let him go, keeping him close, finally being able to express herself the way she had wanted for many weeks... The love that she held for him...
